Located in the Zabeel Park lies what is said to be the world’s largest frame. The Dubai Frame is a bold architectural structure designed to be symbolic of Dubai’s transformation over the past 45 years. It stands as a tribute of Dubai’s past and its bright future.
Standing 150 metres tall, the Frame’s design is that of modern glass and steel. The structure is made up of two rectangles that are connected by a bridge at the top. The Frame consists of an internal 9m high hallway through the middle which allows visitors to experience the different views on each side. On the one side, visitors can view the older side of Dubai, with the Al Fahidi Historical neighbourhood, the mighty Deira Creek, the traditional Souqs, and the world-renowned Dubai Creek Golf Club. On the other side, the glass facades of the Frame provide a view of the new and modern side of the city, with its awe-inspiring modern structures, the marvellous Dubai skyline, the futuristic Palm Jumeirah, and the man-made canals.
The experience of the Dubai Frame does not stop there. Upon entering the steel and glass structure, visitors can explore an array of multi-sensory displays, fully immersive experiences, interactive listening pods featuring stories of Dubai’s past and present, and a 3D animated documentary theatre. The Frame also features a fully equipped Skydeck on the top floor, where visitors can be treated to some of the best views of the city, as well as its landmarks.
The Dubai Frame has been opened to the public since January 2019, and has become one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. The frame has already reached its annual maximum capacity with over 1 million visitors and continues to receive positive reviews.
The Dubai Frame is an iconic structure in the heart of the city that is sure to leave visitors with a memorable cultural experience and a new appreciation for the city’s transformation over the years. It is truly a sight to behold.
