Al Qusais 2 is the latest addition to the Dubai Metro Green line. It is the country's second largest metro station and the first of its kind in the region.
Al Qusais 2 is located at the intersection of Al Ittihad and Al Qudra Road. This new station has direct access to the Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Programme (STEP). STEP is a multi-billion dollar project which will provide an extra 14 kilometres of roads and delivers improved infrastructure and transport services across the Emirates.
The station is equipped with a variety of features to meet the needs of the local community. The station includes a fully automated ticketing system, contactless ticketing machines, free Wi-Fi, escalators, elevators, disabled access, public toilets, and an abundance of parking spaces. It is also equipped with displays, audio systems, information boards, CCTV cameras, and a variety of seating to ensure the safety and comfort of guests.
Transport links at Al Qusais 2 are plentiful. The station offers direct access to the Al Qusais metro station, providing connections to the Green Line, and the rest of the Dubai Metro. It also provides an excellent link to the Dubai International Airport, and the nearby Maktoum International Airport.
Al Qusais 2 is also well connected to all the major roads and highways that run through the area, allowing for easy access in a safe and comfortable manner. Additionally, cyclists and pedestrians will find the station easily accessible thanks to a range of dedicated bike paths that surround it, including the Etihad-Cycle Network.
Al Qusais 2 is an incredibly important addition to the already expansive Dubai Metro Green Line. This station has been designed with the commuter in mind; providing direct links to the airport, as well as easy access to the rest of the metro. With its excellent transport links and good levels of safety and comfort, Al Qusais 2 is a welcome addition to the Emirate of Dubai.
