In the heart of Dubai sits a one-of-a-kind museum, dedicated to the exploration and innovation of the city’s future. The Mohammed bin Rashid Museum of the Future is a revolutionary, interactive and fully immersive experience that brings the vision of Dubai’s future to life.
The 42,000 square metre-building was designed by Santiago Calatrava and will provide an interactive learning experience for visitors. With a range of educational, research and exhibition areas aimed at creating a general understanding of the future, the museum focuses heavily on supporting the development and globalization of Dubai’s ambitions to stay at the forefront of innovation and technology.
Upon entering the building, visitors will find themselves surrounded by an array of digital screens, interactive displays and interactive installations, allowing visitors to explore Dubai’s future at their own pace. The displays will focus on reducing the divide between fiction and reality, showcasing the numerous ideas that are already in the works for Dubai’s future.
The Museum’s galleries will be filled with interactive exhibits and installations, designed to educate people about each of the seven sectors that are driving Dubai’s economy in terms of Research and Development, artificial intelligence, healthcare, transport, smart cities, energy, sustainability and finance. A major focus of the museum is to provide visitors with an understanding of the rapid development of these sectors and what this means for the future.
The museum will also engage in policy and regulatory research which will be used to inform and support potential public and private investments. Collecting and analysing as much data as possible, the museum will develop models that paint a clearer picture of the future of Dubai and its various sectors.
