How Cold Does Dubai Get In Winter

When people think of Dubai, they typically imagine a desert terrain with scorching hot weather year-round. While summers in Dubai are largely hot, lasting fromJune to September with temperatures reaching up to 122°F (50°C), during the winter months, temperatures can drop significantly, usually around October- November.

From October to April, winter in Dubai offers a more temperate climate, but the temperature still varies greatly during the months of December and January. During this time, the average temperature is a comfortable 68°F (20°C), with daytime highs of 77°F (25°C), and nighttime lows of 57°F (13.9°C). These temperatures are relatively warm in comparison to major cities in Europe and the United States where January temperatures can reach up to 25°F (-3.9°C) and even lower. It is important to keep in mind that while temperatures may reach the lowest point at night, temperatures in the evening may drop harshly.

Many people enjoy traveling to Dubai during the winter months, due to the mild weather and availability of outdoor activities such as camping, dirt biking, and ATV rides. However, it is important to be aware that winter wind speeds can pick up, and are known to reach 30 miles per hour or higher. While these winds can create a sense of adventure, people should take the necessary precautions when participating in outdoor activities, such as wearing layers of clothing, covering exposed skin, and bringing sunglasses and lip balm to protect from the wind.

Although the winter temperatures can be pleasant during this season in Dubai, those looking to experience extreme hot weather should know that the yearly average temperature is still a fairly high 86°F (30°C). This being said, Dubai remains a suitable place for those who are looking for warmer temperatures, as well as those seeking a mild weather season.
